The Print of Shekhar Gupta has turned one. The wannabe’s anniversary won’t make for headline news. But it deserved scrutiny given the fact that Coupta (his popular avatar on social media, thanks to the infamous coup story planted by Shekhar in Indian Express during Chidambaram’s time) has a penchant for mostly rolling half-baked lies and anti-establishment opinion masqueraded as news. Gupta’s media venture has been in the eye of the storm for a number of such controversial, opinionated and agenda-driven stories.
